Join us on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 10 a.m. as Cinema Art Bethesda presents Last Film Show followed by a discussion led by Adam Spector. Chhello Film (its original title) is a coming-of-age story of an imaginative rural Indian boy who is mesmerized by movies and sets his sights on becoming a filmmaker, unaware of the heartbreaking times that await him.
“With vivid cinematography that captures the charm of the Gujarat region of India, the film is an homage to the cinema of the past, and a jubilant reminder of the universal magic of movies,” according to the Tribeca Film Festival, where Last Film Show was the opening night Spotlight feature.
Doors at the Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema open at 9:30 a.m. for coffee/tea and bagels/cream cheese, included in the admission fee of $15 per person (cash or checks only) for the entire program. We do not accept credit cards.
