How do you get divorced when a war breaks out next door?

Synopsis

In Vilnius, Lithuania in 2022, Marija decides she wants a divorce from her husband, Vytas. Unfortunately, she picks just about the worst possible moment: Russia is invading Ukraine, and the war suddenly makes the couple’s already complicated lives even more unsettled. As Marija and Vytas try to figure out what comes next for their marriage, they are also dealing with family tensions, Ukrainian refugees, political divisions, and the unsettling realization that the crisis everyone is talking about is getting very close to home. Their private upheaval and the larger upheaval around them begin to mirror each other, with surprisingly dark and sometimes funny results.
